The Far Side

The ultimate gag-a-day strip...no plots, no recurring characters (unless you count broad archetypes like "cows" and "housewives"). And yet you can spot a Far Side strip at a glance, just from the consistently skewed sense of humor. What I like is that Larson isn't afraid to be subtle, or even obscure. The punchline doesn't always hit you in the face, you sometimes have to look at it and think for a minute before everything falls into place...but the payoff is worth it.
