Scipio (who is fast becoming one of my favorite bloggers) pays homage to one of the coolest (and most bizarre) villains ever, The Composite Superman:

Ah, my favorite part of releasing a new comic... when the letters & comments start coming in!

Jason DeGroot:
"Firstly, awesome cover. Loved the pixillated look, really brought me back to my four-color kid days... I really like the good old-fashioned superhero vibe... I think my favorite story in this issue was Tim Fischer's "Capella" two-pager. Awesome artwork and funny as hell. But my favorite character out of this issue, hands-down the American Corpseman. I love zombies, and this was a great spin on it. I hope to see more of Private Paul White in the future."

Nick Carceri:
"The cover was FANTASTIC! as someone who grew up on the Mighty Marvel of the 70's and 80's that cover brought a huge smile to my mug! The story was very good, throwback to the good ol' days of comics that were just fun!"

Dan Kellaway:
"I really enjoyed the Lady Spectra story and very impressed with the super nifty page layouts... American Corpseman, great name!... I wanted to say how much I enjoyed the too short Capella piece... And I don't want to forget Eric Hess and his beautiful back cover illo."

Larry Johnson:
"This is a compelling tale which draws upon both the fear and dependence on technology... What a great ending too!... I think you have a very neat page design for this story and your layouts and use of black and white fit this science fiction scenario perfectly... The American Corpseman, a parody on Golden Age heroes is pretty effective in both style and intent! This could easily be an old Submariner or Human Torch episode... The Capella story was a perfect humorous topper for this issue's fare! What wit and style Tim Fischer applies to your concept!"

Ronson Butler:
"The front cover was simply MARVELous!...I liked how you and Matt did the little things like what 'symbiosis' means and narrating the first part from the villain's point of view... The American Corpseman... had the fastest pace of all the stories in this issue... the Capella story by Tim Fischer was pretty cool!... This book has really evolved!"

Thanks to one and all. Now pardon me, while I float around the room in a happy daze...
