Amazing Spider-Man #28

Another repeat... I'm happy to see so much Ditko love on peoples' lists! This is an amazing piece of design: Spidey completely swallowed in darkness, defined only by that unmistakeable web-pattern (reinforcing once again the brilliance of that costume design). The Molten Man glowing eerily (and looking cooler than the character probably deserves) as he bears down on our hero. It looks so simple, yet every element is placed and executed just right for maximum impact. Much as I love and respect the work of John Romita, I think Spider-Man was diminished a bit by the loss of Ditko's unique graphic sensibility.

...killing a dude by throwing a gun at him is pretty badass.
