Jens Altmann, R.I.P.

jkcarrierI'm sad to hear that writer and journalist Jens Altmann, aka "black13" on LiveJournal, has died. Kirk Boxleitner has some of the details.
I never got to know Jens as well as I might've, but I enjoyed sparring with him in various nerd debates, and I got to guest-draw an episode of his webcomic, "Made of Fail". He always came across as wicked smart, funny, insightful, geeky, and stubborn as hell...my kind of guy, in other words. It's a terrible shame.
So long, Jens. I know this world didn't always do right by you, and I hope the next world is kinder.
