It's been a bad couple of weeks for the comics community. We've lost three great talents:
Arnold Drake, creator of THE DOOM PATROL and DEADMAN, and writer of the pioneering graphic novel IT RHYMES WITH LUST.
Drew Hayes, creator of the long-running indy comic POISON ELVES.
and Marshall Rogers, artist of BATMAN, DETECTIVES INC., SILVER SURFER, and many other titles.
Sincerest condolensces to these creators' family and friends. They'll be greatly missed, but their work will continue to entertain and inspire audiences for generations to come.
EDITED TO ADD: And I should also mention Jay Kennedy, editor in chief of King Features Syndicate and author of THE OFFICIAL UNDERGROUND AND NEWAVE COMIX PRICE GUIDE, who also passed on recently.
