Phantos workblog: character sketches

Some quick 'n sloppy sketches, trying to get the looks of the characters down. These were all done with Photoshop and a Wacom tablet:
Meg needs a little more work. She's not really reading as "Asian".
For the scene that takes place in Meg's imaginary "Happy Place", I had the idea of drawing it in the flat, stylized manner of old Japanese prints. I'll need to work up some fancy floral patterns to go into those kimonos.
