New Year's dream

jkcarrierIf this is some kind of omen for the upcoming year, I'll be damned if I can figure it out...
In my dream, me, my Dad, my brother, and Lance Bass of N'Sync are all driving somewhere out of town to collect a load of scrap metal. We get to a house with a yard full of junk, and we load it all into a big flatbed truck. Among the scrap metal I find a bundle of pencils. Some of them are odd-looking... ten or twelve inches long and curved on one end like a candy cane. I ask the woman who owns the house if I can take the pencils, and she tells me a story about how the pencils got her in trouble once: She and her husband were filling out forms, and they traded pencils halfway through, which caused the forms to be rejected.
After we finish loading the truck, Lance says that there's a car dealer nearby that he wants to check out, and he invites me along. When we're out of earshot of the others, he says that what he really plans to do is go to a guitar shop. For some reason, my car (the little grey Chevette that I drove in college) is parked right on top of another car. This upsets me, but Lance assures me that it will be fine if I'm just careful. Nonetheless, I scrape the front bumper as I'm trying to ease it back down to the ground. Lance jumps into the other car and takes off. I try to follow, but I'm too far behind and lose sight of him. Irritated, I decide to just go to the hotel we're staying at and wait for the others. I fall asleep, and in the morning my Dad and brother tell me that Lance wrecked his car and is under arrest.
So... Happy New Year, I guess?
