Bigfoot Comics #3 and #5

Strange, but funny little minicomics. #2 is a revenge story involving ants and Fisher-Price Little People. #5 has several strips, including a bit with a sarcastic alien, and one about a poet and an artist comparing tools. The art is basic, but tells the story well and has a certain rough charm. Nice color cardstock covers, too. Definitely worth a look.

$7.00 for all nine issues.

I've been a fan of Michael's for a long time, and these minis are some of the best things he's done. A series of one-page illustrations, drawn in an elegant, minimalist style, with captions underneath. Not really "gags" per se, but there's a sort of bittersweet whimsy about them. It's hard to describe, but you can see a couple of samples here. Highly recommended.
