"Kingslayer"

The Squad was briefed on a situation brewing at the United Nations. A coalition of smaller nations, not happy with the way the U.N. Security Council was currently structured, was pushing for changes, including a representative to be added to the permanent membership. Amanda Waller had intel indicating that unknonw parties were not in favor of these changes, and were planning to disrupt the negotiations. Therefore, she was assigning her Suicide Squad to serve as security at the two preliminary meetings, as well as the final presentation to the U.N. General Assembly.
The first of the secret meetings was being held on the observation deck of the Empire State Building (temporarily closed to tourists, allegedly "for repairs"). In attendance:
President Ada Baba of Oranga
Prince Ali of Kaliph
Princess Astrid of Graustania
Princess Elaa of Khimyo
Princess Evalina of Valdania
King Grodd of Gorilla City [Whom the Squad helped take the throne in Episode #17]
Queen Hippolyta of Paradise Island
King Peeble IV of Swawak [Not pleased to see the former henchmen of the Penguin serving as security; see Episode #4.]
King Vulko of Atlantis [Grateful for the Squad's help back in Episode #14.]
As predicted, the meeting was attacked by a quartet of assassins: The disintegration-blasting Anti-Man, Greenback with his gun that shot high-velocity coins instead of bullets, the flying, flame-throwing Skyrocket, and the laser-powered Spectrum.
The attackers put up a respectable fight, but in the end were no match for the power of the Suicide Squad. After the interruption, the meeting continued, though there was some concern over how the location of their allegedly "secret" meeting had been compromsied.

The location of the second meeting was the famous Katz's Delicatessen, which had been rented out for the occasion. The Squad was there, ready for trouble, and sure enough it soon arrived in the form of four elemental villains: Gnome, with powers over stone and metal, the flaming Salamander, Sylph, who could hurl lightning bolts and become as intangible as air, and Undine, mistress of water and ice.
The Elementals proved no more successful than the previous crew. Captain Republican and Bucky targeted Undine first, after getting a taste of her devastating tidal wave attack [Force Bolt]. Sylph confounded the team initially by slipping into and out of her intangible state, but the effort eventually wore her out [ran low on Power Points], leaving her solid and vulnerable. Gnome attempted to use his power over metal to swing Mr. Roboto around like a battering ram, to little avail [i.e., he kept rolling terribly]. Captain Republican used his Power Blast on Salamander, only to find that it made her bigger and stronger [Absorption linked to Size Change]. He opted to let Roboto [Vibratory Blast] and Chemical Lad [Chemical Blast] deal with her instead.

Finally the day came for the presentation of the plan to the United Nations General Assembly. By this point, an attack was completely expected, and the forces of evil did not disappoint. A 40' Mole Monster came burrowing through the floor of the meeting hall, accompanied by the 12' Frankenstein creatured called the World-Beater, the Menagerie Man with his pride of trained lions, and the ringleader of them all, the assassin called Kingslayer.
Delegates Grodd and Hippolyta worked together to quickly evactuate the hall as the Suicide Squad moved forward to do battle. While his lions attacked the Squad indescriminately, Menagerie Man used his whip to lash out at Bucky. He inflicted considerable damage, but soon fell to the combined might of Bucky and Captain Republican. When Cap dealt the knockout punch, he found himself surrounded by angry lions, eager to avenge their fallen master. Meanwhile, the World-Beater attacked Chemical Lad from a safe distance with his Vibratory and Electrical attacks, but the Squad all focused their attacks on him, and brought the lumbering brute down. Kingslayer managed to take out Bucky with sustained fire from his automatic rifle, but his victory was short-lived as Captain Republican, amped-up from a speed potion he'd acquired in a previous adventure, tore into him. The Mole Monster proved highly resistant to physical attacks [Invulnerability], so Chemical Lad concentrated on blasting him with bursts of acid, until Mr. Roboto managed to use a piece of scavenged villain tech to strip away his protection [Siphon], at which point the rest of the team dog-piled on the beast until it was subdued. That just left the lions, and once Captain Republican had pounded a couple of them into submission, the others backed off and allowed themselves to be restrained.
With the U.N. building secured, the meeting resumed. In the end, the proposal was accepted, and a new permanent member was added to the Security Council to represent the interests of the smaller nations -- Gorilla Grodd.
