I hit the voting booth around 8:30, there was no line or anything. One guy was leaving as I came in, and another couple arrived as I left. That was a relief, because I was afraid I wouldn't have time to vote before I had to report for my other government obligation...

Jury Duty! But that one turned out to be an anticlimax. We cooled our heels in the jury room for a couple of hours, then the judge came down and announced that the case had been settled, and we wouldn't be needed after all. I'm on call all week, though, so I may yet end up holding some poor sucker's fate in the palm of my hand. Moo hoo ha ha...
