Another series that sported a LOT of terrific covers. But this one jumped out at me; it's kind of cryptic, but still evocative and intriguing. I love those huge eye-catching letters that nonetheless manage to be a balanced and integral part of the overall illustration. The looming type and stark black background combine to make a simple image of a hat and a wooden box seem somehow eerie and portentious (which, in the context of the story, they definitely are). Sim took a lot of risks and broke a lot of rules over the course of Cerebus' 300-issue run, and most of them paid off.
